The Bayfield Fish Hatchery. In Bayfield. Lots of tourists make for a great educational and informational opportunity for the
Wisconsin Division of Natural Resources. Right? Wrong. The morning we stopped by, the hatchery never opened in spite of the signs on the door saying that it should have opened at 8. We walked up and around some of the ponds, and saw a few ducks and a few fish, not the abundant number we were expecting. Our visit was a disappointment. Maybe yours will be better.

Time Needed: 10 minutes for us, including unloading/reloading kids from/back into the car
