Lincoln City Glassblowing

On the drive back to the Portland Metro Area, we stopped in Lincoln City to watch some glass blowers.  It looked pretty challenging getting the right mixture of colors, temperature, and amount of air to blow the glass. 

Our friends told us that every winter, the glassblowers in Lincoln City hide over 2000 glass floats out in the beaches and marshes for visitors to find.  It's a way to bring more visitors and tourism in the slow winter months.  

 We watched for a while before the kids told us again that they were hungry and it was time to move along.
