The Bella Vista Mine
A few weeks ago I discovered a map that pointed out several old mines on the mountain above Farmington, so I've tried to go and find them. The first one I found was the "Bella Vista Mine". It's a short stroll down the Bonneville Shoreline trail from a trailhead on Bella Vista Court. The mine is just off the trail and is best visible when looking southeast. It's only about 30 feet deep, so not deep at all, but still pretty cool.
