Grandeur Peak

I'd always wanted to hike Grandeur Peak. I've hiked several of the prominent peaks along the Wasatch Front, but never had hiked Grandeur. Last week, I was able to.

We started out at the Church Fork Trailhead. It is up Millcreek Canyon. Canyon access is $3 per vehicle. The trailhead was still gated, so we parked off of the road.

The first section of the canyon is very wooded and wet. The creek splashes quite noisily down the canyon.
Above that, you leave the creek and start to trek across the hillside covered with scrub oak and maple. A few views down the canyon are great.

After reaching the saddle, the final push is still ahead before you summit. The views from the top are great.

Round trip distance (from the road, Church Fork TH): 7 miles
