Smoked Trout

After we got home last week from our ice fishing trip, I fileted the fish and put them in the briney marinade to get them ready for smoking. After sitting in the fridge all week with an occasional stir, they were ready to be taken out and strung up.

I put toothpicks through the ends so I could hang them from the rack in the smoker.

Then I brought them out and hung them up and started smoking them.

You can see the smoke a little bit in this picture. I'll leave them in for a few hours until they're done and tasty! Yum!
