The Indian Cave and Arch in the Dragoon Mountains

One of our favorite places to go camping in Sierra Vista is to the Dragoon Mountains.  We drive to Tombstone, then north a few miles to Middlemarch Road.  We take Middlemarch Road for about 10 miles to the west side of the Dragoon Mountains, then turn north and find any one of a number of primitive sites along the road.  It's a beautiful area with fantastic rock formations and huge oak trees.
On one of our camping trips, we went hiking around and exploring and found a deep alcove in the rocks that the roof had been blackened from countless fires. It was north facing, so rather non-typical as far as shelter caves go, but we as we looked around a little more, we saw an arch nearby on the other side of the small canyon.  Maybe arches are big medicine.
Can you see the arch in this picture?  It's right in the middle.  As we explored a little more, we also found a grinding hole on the top of a boulder near the alcove and arch.  It's amazing to explore and see what you can find out here!
