On Christmas, I needed to get out. We went for a quick visit to the Murray Springs Mammoth Kill Site.
There's not much there other than a trail and a few interpretive signs- which is too bad. I look at the irony that the signs discourage looters from taking things so that other people can enjoy them, but the "professionals" come and excavate and then file everything away in an institution and people still can't enjoy them...
It's a pretty spot out here in the desert. I did enjoy many of the signs telling me what the plants and vegetation are.
