We've had lots of fun paddling around the various ponds & lakes here in Fort Collins in the canoe we purchased & repaired earlier this summer. One of our favorite places is at the Riverbend Ponds, about 2.5 miles from our house. We can decide we want to go, strap on the canoe, and be canoeing within 30 minutes. Our favorite paddle we've nicknamed "the jungle cruise." Every time we go we see lots of birds (ospreys, herons, egrets, pelicans, ducks, geese, etc) , some fish (carp, bluegills, bass, etc) , and sometimes other wildlife. This time we found two toads.
