The Great Stupa

Lately I have begun to feel as though my days are limited... well, more like my chances to go backpacking this summer are limited. So- after much convincing, Ben finally agreed to go! Granted, we made some provisions, such as: I would rest whenever I needed it; it would be a short, easy hike; and Ben would carry most of the gear. After adjusting the waist strap on my backpack to fit, we were off!

Our beautiful campsite-
by the way, for those of you that are wondering about Baby... I definitely felt baby moving around while we were camping. And then again this morning and in Relief Society Baby was moving like crazy!!

The really really pretty blue bird that was flying around (maybe an indigo bunting?)

Alas, as all good things must come to an end, so did our backpacking trip. We headed towards home late Saturday afternoon. On the way home we passed a sign in the canyon that said "Shambhala Mountain Center". The sign meant nothing to me-but my smart husband knew that it was the home to The Great Stupa of Dharmakaya. So we decided to stop and hike up to The Great Stupa. More info on The Great Stupa can be read here.
