Thanksgiving Activities

We decided to re-arrange our trip because of threatening bad weather, and sure enough, when we awoke on Thursday morning, the storm was upon us. We started out our day by going to downtown Santa Fe.

The big cathedral downtown.

After wandering around Santa Fe in the rain, we started thinking of Thanksgiving Dinner and pondered over our options. We ended up driving to Las Vegas, NM. There we cooked our dinner and soaked in some hot springs. What a way to spend Thanksgiving!

Main Street Las Vegas, NM. Pretty cool town!

By Montezuma Hot Springs. Look at the snow!

Montezuma Hot Springs are a gem! There are several pools of varying temperatures. They are extremely well mantained, and are patrolled by a security guard to make sure everyone still has their clothes on. We really enjoyed the soak here.

At the hot springs. What a great place to soak and visit.

We camped Thanksgiving night in the snow, somewhere in Southern Colorado. We slept warmer here than on Monday night!
