Royal Gorge Bridge

On Friday as we were driving home we decided to stop by the Royal Gorge Bridge. This suspension bridge hangs 1,053 feet above the Arkansas River and is the world's highest suspension bridge. Amazing!!

The whole area is somewhat of a tourist trap. A big tourist trap. The bridge is cool to see, but to get through the gate and walk around they charge $24 EACH (per adult). Somebody is milking a cash cow here! We're not suckers, so we just looked from a distance. (And Ash doesn't like heights, so we weren't going to go there)
