Solitude on the West side of Chequamegon Peninsula

After visiting Bayfield and cruising on the Madeline Island Ferry, we weren't done with Lake Superior.  We drove over to the west side of the Chequamegon Peninsula.  It's more quiet over there.  We found a beach that we had all to ourselves.
The South Shore of Lake Superior is beautiful!  We threw more rocks, unsuccessfully looked again for agates, and soaked in the beauty.
One of the things the kids enjoyed doing most was finding driftwood or boards and seeing how many rocks they could get to stay on top while they launched them as boats or canoes out into the lake. Good memories from our visit to Lake Superior!  I think some of the best memories were here on the back side of the peninsula.
