Last Saturday we took a hike up Davis Creek to look for some waterfalls that we had heard were up there. It was a beautiful day for a hike. At first the trail was obvious, but it quickly faded out into a deer trail up the side of the mountain. We hiked higher and higher before finding ourselves high on a hillside of scrub oak. Continue on or turn back?
We turned back to meet other commitments for the day. We never did see the waterfalls. But you could say that we never really were on a trail either.
