Free Day at the Museum

Yesterday was Free Day at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science. Because they didn't charge admission, we paid for it in the added crowds and impossible-to-find parking. Seriously. We had spots twice that should have been ours, but we passed them to others because of other drivers almost hitting us. Once we solved the parking situation (solution: walk a mile) and got inside, the museum was pretty cool.

They had several exhibits on animals from around the world, mummies, indians (ahem: Native Americans- with a capital N.A.), the human body, etc. Our favorite exhibits though were of the dinosaur fossils and the gems & minerals. We spent 5 hours wandering around looking at everything and felt that it was adequate. We finished and headed home just in time to join the evening rush hour.
