Hike to "The A"

One of the two prominent landmarks in Fort Collins is "The A". The weather on Thursday was great, so we went out and went for a hike. The view was great. We also learned how they make it white. They use some sort of white paint. I've been to several different letters on hills in the western U.S. and they're all different. Some are made of concrete (The U in Salt Lake- it even has LED lights!), others are white painted stone (The SS in Kamas). This one EVERYTHING is painted. Rocks? Painted. Trees? Painted. Bushes? Painted. Grass? Painted. Dirt? Yup- got that too.

The CSU stadium is in the background- along with the rest of FC.

EVERYTHING is painted... except us :)
